My experience as a property manager for more than 4 years has given me insight into how this short-term hospitality industry works. Later, as an architecture photographer and filmmaker, I created content for this industry in the Provence and Tuscany, but also in other parts of Europe.
Being a property manager gave me profound insight into how stubborn homeowners can be, making the same mistake after mistake and not seeing the potential of their own property. Strangely enough, when I advised them on how they could unlock what is there in a more abundant way for them, they mostly rejected the help and offer. They didn't take my advice seriously, blinded by their own small time in this reality, thinking they knew it all. This resulted in problem after problem in the long term, while the homeowners who did take my advice seriously, reaped the benefits from it; no unexpected problems in the future, no extra learning costs for the learning experience and they made more money in the long run.
